Throwback Thursday

I never knew I would relate so much to a blog I wrote over five years ago.

I can.

Belated, Merry Whatever!

First of all, I would like to apologize profusely for disappearing from the blogsphere for awhile, with no explanation.  My computer had needed to be repaired for quite some time, and it went into the shop just a few days before Christmas.  With that said, how was your Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/whatever holiday you may  celebrate this time of year?  I hope you all had a very merry...whatever!  Hahaha. I would like to share with you a few of my favorite Christmas presents!

1.  Q & A a Day: 5-Year Journal

I think many of my blogging friends would thoroughly enjoy this, considering it has to do with writing.  It asks you a different question every day for a year.  Then, once you finish off that year, you start answering the same questions you did last year.  That way you can really see how much you have changed in five years!

2.  Polly Pocket Rainy Day Dolls

What can I say?  I'm a kid at heart. ;)  Do not be afraid to act like a kid every once in awhile!  It is a major stress reliever!

3.  Snuggie (Camouflage of course!)  As much as I used to make fun of these things, they are actually very comfy and warm.  As much as I hate to admit it, the sleeves are useful too, especially when reading. :)

4.  Pitch Perfect  GREAT MOVIE!  And if you're a fan of either Bridesmaids or Glee, I definitely recommend it!

5.  Official Betsey Johnson Purse  When I visited Chicago, I fell in love with the Bestsey Johnson store they had there.  The only problem?  Everything there was too expensive for a poor, college kids like me.  Luckily, Betsey Johnson sells some items that are more affordable at places like JCP.  She has a line called "Betseyville".  I am already in love with this purse!

So, did you all get anything new and exciting this year?  Did you do anything special with your family or friends?  I hope all of you had someone to spend the holidays with!  I guess next I will be saying, "Happy New Year!"

Truth Is...

Ain't that the truth.  Some of you may have been reading my blog for a few weeks, months.  A select few of you may even have been reading it for years.  So, I bid you the question:  Do you feel that you know me because you have read a few things about me, shared a few pictures with you?

The answer is no.  You do not know me (unless you have met me in real life of course).  Don't get me wrong - there are many of you I would LOVE to meet, LOVE to be friends with.  I sincerely like some of the people whose blogs I have read, and people who have commented on my blog throughout the years.  With that said, it does not mean I know you.

I know the people who I have shared secrets with, ridden in the passenger seat by, went to see a movie with.  I know the people who have sucked up to me, put me down, and made me feel inferior.  I know the people who I have been in pictures with, the people who have given me hugs, the people who have annoyed the crap out of me.  I do not, however, know you.  It may be a sad fact, but it's true.

I can think I know you, and you can think you know me, but that fact of the matter is we really do not know each other.  For all you know, I could be a 56 year old man from Antarctica in a civil union with a man who hates beavers.  Granted, I am not.  I do not even know if Antarctica allows civil unions, but the thing is you only know little snippets about me that I have told you.  You know nothing more, nothing less.  Think about this as your are enjoying the internet and social networking.  Though it is fun and a way to make friends, you need to see people, places, things, and ideas for what they really are.

Finally a Real Blog!

Hello everyone!  Guess what...I'm actually alive.  Yes, I know you must be shocked, but it's true!  I just finished my second to last exam this morning, and I am more than a little excited about that.  Don't you hate exams?  You do all of that studying for one test.  Or maybe you don't study at all; how should I know.  Either way, I am sure many of you college students and maybe even high school students have had to take an exam of some sort.  I wish all of you good luck on your exams!
On another note, I still do not know exactly what I am going to do with my life...for the most part anyway.  I do, however, have one major goal now:  to be the dirt/mud girl on a Swiffer commercial.  Call me crazy, call me insane, call me whatever you want.  I don't care.  I WILL make this happen.  I have facebooked about it, tweeted about it, and now I'm blogging about it.  I have even had friends trying to help me out!  This past couple of days, it has become a big deal for me.  If you want to become my fan on Facebook click here to join in helping me out!  I am grateful for any help I can get.

Anyway, you finally have it:  a real, honest blog.  I know I have not written a true blog in awhile, so I really appreciate if you actually take the time to read this.  Thank you my faithful followers.  I <3 you.

I'm Back...At Least I'm Trying

I realized something very depressing when I tried to go to my blog today.  I typed in the URL like usual...and it was not in my recent search history.  :(  I have not written now in over a month.  Please do not give up on me my blogging friends!  I love you all, and I hope you will have patience with me.  I have been very busy since the summer started.  On June 9th, I celebrated my one year anniversary with my boyfriend, Ryan.  I am also taking a night math class on Mondays and Wednesdays.  I have no excuses for not writing, but I just hope you can understand.  I haven't even been writing in my journal as much as I used to, but I plan to start up writing again.  It's good for me, and it's something I need to do for myself and you.  Please forgive me!

Love,
Molly

Life Lesson #8: It's Supposed to be Fun

Life Lesson #8:  "Sometimes I must remind myself that this is supposed to be fun."

I found the photo above on a very awesome blog:  Bits of Truth...all quotes, and I thought this was an amazing quote that various people can relate to.

How many times in your life have you wanted to quit doing something?  I am sure all of us have wanted to be a quitter at one point or the other.  However, I very much commend those who stick it out.  It can be an incredibly hard thing to do, but I think it is worth it.  Nobody can rag on you for quitting, and you can take pride in the fact that you didn't quit.  It is just a win win situation either way.  Remember that the next time you are trying to decide whether to quit something or not.

OUT: Myspace and Facebook. IN: Twitter!

Myspace
Facebook
Twitter

Social networking websites go through the weirdest phases.  First it was Myspace, then it was Facebook, and just recently, I have discovered Twitter.  I still only have 9 followers, but I feel like I am slowly working my way up there in the Twitter world.  It's odd, isn't it?  You can get so addicted to those websites; it is like suddenly your friends all live inside of a computer.  It's a way to connect with people far away.  Personally, I think someone should just create a website called:  http://www.twitmyface.com/, which can be used as a universal social networking website.  Then, we don't have to have 2 or 3 profiles on different websites!  Twitter is obviously not the same as Myspace or Facebook though.  It is pretty general...you just post updates as to what you are doing at the moment.  Because I'm a writer, I kind of like that idea.  It's nice to come up with witty, little statuses a few times a day!  I love to be funny and incorporate my sense of humor into it too.  With that said, maybe I will share some of my statuses with you soon!  Would you like that?  Let me know what you would like me to blog about.  I would love for you to share your suggestions with me anytime!

Happy Belated Blogiversary to ME...Again...

Why can I never seem to remember my blogiversary???  Well, my blogiversary was July 2, and it is now July 10.  Last year, I realized on July 7th that my blogiversary was actually July 2nd.  I think there are still reasons to celebrate though - even if it is a little late to celebrate!

When I started blogging two years ago, I never could have imagined how many blessings my blog would provide me along the way.  I started my blog as a way to share my creative writing with others, and to possibly get some feedback.

I remember not too long ago when I only had 9 followers.  It seemed like I would never reach the 10 followers mark.  I am, now, very proud to say that I have 24 followers!  It pretty much shocks me that so many people care about what I have to say!  I am now getting comments frequently, and I read and appreciate each and every one of them!

There are not only people from different cities reading my blog, but also different countries!  This excites me more than you know.

These past two years have been so wonderful.  I am glad to be starting on my third year.  Thank you to everyone who has supported me.  I love all of you!  :)  I hope this coming blog-year is even more amazing than the last one.

And who knows?  Maybe next year I will remember my blogiversary...on the right day...

Hopefully I will grow more wise this year, and less forgetful.  Ha!

Until then though, hope you all have a wonderful day, and a year full of hope and fate!  ;)

Nice to Meetcha. (:

Hello there, everyone! Well, today is going to be a more personal post than you usually see! I am very happy to have gotten quite a few new followers in the past few days, and I would like to introduce myself to you. :) So...sit back, relax, and let's get to know each other a little bit better, shall we?
Yup, that girl right up there is me! It is a picture of me right before my graduation, on May 28th. I graduated high school! It has been an interesting four years, let me tell you. But enough of that.
I'm Molly! :) I am seventeen, going on eighteen. One thing you really need to know: THEATRE IS MY LIFE!!!!! I love acting - it is my passion, and I am totally in love with it! However, I also enjoy writing and psychology. I love to act, read, sing, dance, bowl, listen to music, and tons of other stuff! I love God!!! I spend way too much time on the computer, but hey, that's just me. I am a pretty shy person, honestly. It might take me awhile to warm up, but once I do I can be pretty hilarious, not gonna lie! I am also pretty deep though, which not everyone realizes. I have a serious side. I am very accepting and open-minded, or at least, that's what I like to think of myself. :)
Right now, it is summer (duh). The past few days I have pretty much just been enjoying that fact. I usually don't enjoy being bored, but it has been kind of nice not to have a planned schedule and routine. I am bowling though, on a summer league with a few friends, which is a blast! I have bowled on a league since the fourth grade, but I have only bowled on summer league since last summer. I am hoping to maybe get a job this summer too, so wish me luck! Really, I just wanted to write this blog so I could introduce myself to my new readers, and allow my old readers to know a little bit more about me! :D I hope you all have enjoyed reading it. And I would ALWAYS love to know more about you, so feel free to share. Leave me comments, and express your thoughts on anything and everything! There is one thing I would like to ask you to do before you before you go though...PLEASE VOTE IN THE POLL CURRENTLY ON MY PAGE! LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE OF ON MY BLOG! I would really appreciate it! :) If you ever would like me to write about something that you do not see I have blogged about already, PLEASE leave a comment! I would LOVE to hear from you, in any way, shape or form! With that said, I hope you all have a great day, and a wonderful summer!!!
Love,
Molly (:

"GO GREEN!" They Say...

Hello everyone. Today, when I logged in, I became aware that today is supposedly "Blog Action Day 2009." I actually had never heard that there was such a day before; I was surprised! You see, Blog Action Day is apparently a day where a vast array of bloggers unite, and all post on the same subject. This year the subject is "climate change."

I would be lying to you if I said that I was an expert on climate change. I am a teenager...I really don't care at this point what it's doing in California when I feel like I'm 90,823,848,934 miles away! (Ha!)

I know it is important to a good number of people though. (How many politicians don't mention global warming while they are campaigning in some way, shape, or form?!) They believe in it or they think it's crazy, they care about it or they don't. It seems like we see it everywhere whether we want to or not.

"GO GREEN!" Is that not one the favorite phrases right now? However, how many people who have that phrase, or a phrase like it on a t-shirt, a sticker, whatever, ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT IT MEANS?! Okay, so we know the general meaning: keeping the earth healthy, save the world, peace everywhere! Are you nodding your head in agreement? Good.

We, as humans, tend to do things that our peers do. John does something, so Jimmy does something, so Sally does something, so Susie does something. Right?

I know that some environmental activists have really good intentions, but some of us are just going along with the ride! How many of us actually care about the climate changing? Sure, we care in times of devastation or emergency, but how many of us really care on a day to day basis? Slim to none.

I am a hypocrite in saying this, because you want to know how many times I think about climate change on a regular day? Zero. I NEVER think about climate change. It is something that doesn't even cross my mind.

All I am saying, is that maybe we should start listening to those corny commercials every once in awhile. They seem so cheesy, but they wouldn't be if everyone in the world would actually listen to them! Our world would be in much better shape! All I ask of you after reading this is to do something good for the earth that you wouldn't do on a regular basis. I will too --- I'm getting ready to go turn out a light right now. :)

My Deepest Apologies...

My deepest apologies for not have the usual "Ten Things Tuesday" yesterday. I have been sick the last few days, and getting ready to start school. So, I hope you all understand. I will try to keep my blog updated even though I am going to be going back to school, although please understand if it is not as frequently updated as in the summer. Well, I may write a blog soon, but I just wanted to post this so everyone knew what was going on. Thanks for taking your time to read, and have a wonderful day!

Sorry About the Lack of Updating.

Hello everyone. I am sorry about Ten Things Tuesday this week; I totally, completely forgot about it! Summer has been so busy, and sometimes it seems like it's easier to keep my blog updated during the school year. I guess it might be easier then because I have more of a schedule. Well, I shouldn't be writing a lot this week...I am going to theatre camp!
Hopefully, however, once school starts again I will be writing more! I have another blog in mind that I want to write though, so maybe I will get that written sometime in the near future! :)
Anyway, I am very busy, as I said, but I hope you all are having a wonderful summer! I know I am; it has been extremely busy though!
Well, until next time!
-Molly

Happy Belated Blogiversary to Me!!!!! :)

Usually it would be a normal Ten Things Tuesday. However, today I will be belatedly celebrating my blogiversary! You see, I thought my blogiversary was July 7, but in fact it was July 2. Still, I thought it should be recognized!

My blog has given me a way to express myself to other people through my writing. It has been motivational for me, and I hope it has been motivational to those reading it. I wasn't sure how many people would even read my blog, but I am proud to say that I now have 8 followers on blogspot! So thank you to those 8 people VERY MUCH! I also know of a few readers that I know personally, so thank you to those people also VERY MUCH! To anyone who has ever read my blog...THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

It has been great because I have had readers everywhere from Brazil, to India, to Pakistan, and at least several other places. I didn't realize anybody out of my state would be reading my words (let alone out of my country!) So, thank you to all of those who have read my blog, left me comments, or have acquired a new perspective on something because of a blog I've written.

I remember my first blog comment. It was by someone named Lance. I do not know Lance personally, and I have not had any sort of communication with him since, but it was a great honor when he took the time to comment my blog. I felt like a published author! I know it might not be that big of a deal to you, but it was to me.

Blogging has made me feel like I have at least made a small difference in the world. I hope it can bring me that feeling to a greater extent in the years to come as I reach more and more people. Blogging has been a creative outlet, somewhere I can share my opinion, and a place I can come to let out my emotions. So I just want to say thank you to all of those people who read my blog. It has been a great pleasure hearing from you, and I am looking forward to another great year of blogging. :)

Merry Christmas; Jesus is the Reason!!!

Hi! Sorry for not posting as much as usual this month; I've just been really busy. I plan to post a new blog pretty soon though...I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas!!!!!!! And remember: Jesus is the reason for the season!!!!!! It's all because of him. <3

The Inspiration: Hypothetical Coffee.

As some of my friends know, I used to blog on myspace. I used to publish my creative articles there before I made this blog. Well, I just thought people might like to read the myspace post that actually inspired the name of my blog, "Hope, Fate, and and a Little Hypothetical Coffee..." It was something I wrote at a time when so many things felt like they were changing. It was called, "Maybe it’s time to wake up and smell the hypothetical coffee. " So without any further hoopla, please enjoy!

Maybe it’s time to wake up and smell the hypothetical coffee.

It is March 2, 2008. I am sitting here. Thinking. Like always...
Obviously I'm a thinker...I'm pretty insightful at times. However lately it seems like I've been having more trouble with understanding situations. It's not just one or two; it's a multiple kind of thing.

There are so many changes going on right now, and natural instincts of course tell me to hold on. Holding on isn't always an option. Holding on isn't always the way to go. Holding on sometimes is just plain old, plain old not available whatsoever. I need to wake up, smell the coffee and realize this. It isn't just me though; numerous people need to wake up and smell the hypothetical coffee of life. Call me deep. Call me absurd. Call me absolutely insane. The main point of it is still true.

Opportunities are not taken so often. How many people have told you this? Well, maybe it's time to listen to them. Maybe it's time to forgive and forget. Or maybe it's time to apologize. Maybe it's time to open up to someone. Maybe it's time for time. Maybe it's time to simply relax, and live. Life is something that can either be a wasted opportunity or a miraculous experience that will mean so much. Realize what you need to do at this taken for granted time like so many people don't.
Do it before the chance escapes you...

Just to let you all know...

I started a new personal blog because this one's more for my creative writing, and I'd like to keep it that way. So it's in my links, check it out! :)

In Love?

I have been thinking about something that I would appreciate feedback on. Some people do it, and some don't. Some young preteens or teenagers do this though. What I am thinking of is when people (usually preteens or teenagers) are "going out" or whatever they choose to call it, and let's say after 2 days of dating they think they are "IN LOVE" with each other. Many of the couples saying this are no older than 13 or 14, maybe even younger, but after 2 freaking of days of dating they are MADLY in love with one another. I am sorry if this blog offends anyone, but most of the younger couples who do this do not even know what that kind of love feels like, let alone feel it. However they have things like, "John [loves Kaye soooo much! <3]"

*ahem* the start of my blogging on blogspot. haha :)

Hello all. Sooo obviously I've decided to start a blog. =] I've blogged on myspace also, but I just wanted to have a blogging blog instead of just myspace blog. haha. Anyway, I have started this blog to write because I love to write. I plan on using it quite a bit. That's my hope anyway. So please check out my blog frequently for exciting reads. (haha) OH and leave me comments on my blogs! I love comments! Well for now I suppose I will go. But who knows? Maybe I will even write another actual blog with some actual interesting stuff in it later today. Because obviously this blog is not very interesting! So bye for now! :)
